Public works teams are clearing downed trees after a destructive thunderstorm while residents mark Flag Day and upcoming festivals.

Crews and first responders in Randolph are working to clear debris and downed trees following a recent destructive thunderstorm. Officials urge residents to call 911 only for life-threatening situations as resources are deployed across Morris County to keep roads safe.

Community members recently gathered for patriotic observances, including an Independence Tree dedication tied to the America 250 celebration. The event was organized by VFW Post 7333, the Historical Society of Old Randolph, and local parks officials.

The town also hosted a Flag Retirement Ceremony with the Randolph VFW on Flag Day. Participants noted that the American flag represents the sacrifices made to defend freedoms and values that unite the community.
