Novartis cuts 76 jobs as East Hanover office upgrades near completion
Swiss drugmaker Novartis is eliminating positions at its headquarters while nearby developers finish exterior work on a new technology complex.
Novartis announced it will eliminate 76 jobs at its East Hanover headquarters. The Swiss drugmaker stated the cuts are part of an ongoing global restructuring effort.
At the same time, New Vernon Equities is nearing completion of exterior upgrades for a new development in East Hanover called Arena. The locally based investment group has committed more than $20 million over the past year to reposition two vacant office towers adjacent to Novartis into a modern workplace destination.
