Novartis cuts 76 jobs; East Hanover office project nears finish

Swiss drugmaker Novartis is eliminating positions at its headquarters while a nearby commercial development completes exterior upgrades.


Novartis will eliminate 76 jobs at its East Hanover headquarters as part of an ongoing global restructuring effort. The Swiss drugmaker announced the cuts in recent reports covering local business impacts.

Meanwhile, New Vernon Equities is nearing completion on a $20 million repositioning project for two vacant office towers adjacent to the Novartis site. JLL reported that exterior upgrades are progressing at Arena in East Hanover to create a modern workplace destination.
