Novartis cuts 76 East Hanover jobs as nearby office upgrades near finish
While Novartis eliminates positions at its headquarters, a new development project adjacent to the site is completing exterior work.
Swiss drugmaker Novartis will eliminate 76 jobs at its East Hanover headquarters. The company states this move continues a global restructuring effort.
At the same time, New Vernon Equities has committed more than $20 million over the past year to reposition two vacant office towers near the Novartis site. JLL announced that work is progressing on these upgrades for an office and technology complex known as Arena in East Hanover.
The locally based investment group is nearing completion of exterior improvements intended to create a modern workplace destination. These buildings are located adjacent to the northeast headquarters facility where job cuts are occurring.
