Boonton sees industrial sale, new solar project amid flag debate
Recent developments include an industrial facility sale, a rooftop solar installation at AvalonBay apartments, and town council meetings regarding Pride flags.
Resource Realty of Northern New Jersey reported the completion of three industrial transactions in Morris County. These deals included the sale of a 12,000-square-foot industrial facility located in Boonton.
PowerLutions Solar announced it finished a rooftop solar project at an AvalonBay community in town. The system generates approximately 747 kW DC of clean energy and was developed with REV Energy Ventures.
Separately, the Boonton Town Council held meetings to discuss revamping a flag ordinance that would allow flying the Pride Flag during Gay Pride events.
Reports indicate these council discussions were marred by an unfortunate display involving swastikas or Nazi-related imagery. Residents may view this as a distraction from the policy debate on inclusive symbols.
