Boonton sees industrial sale, new rooftop solar project
A Bonton apartment complex now hosts a large solar array while an industrial facility sold nearby.
PowerLutions Solar completed a multi-interconnection rooftop project at AvalonBay's community in Boonton. The Lakewood-based firm delivered the system alongside partners REV Energy Ventures and AvalonBay Communities.
The new installation brings approximately 747 kW DC of on-site clean energy to the apartments. This addition is expected to cut emissions and boost the use of renewable power for residents.
In related local real estate news, Resource Realty of Northern New Jersey reported a sale involving an industrial facility in Boonton. The property covers 12,000 square feet and was part of three transactions totaling about 37,000 square feet across two Morris County towns.
